Tourism Australia and China Southern Airlines proudly present
“Experience Australia – China Southern Holiday”
Tourism Australia and China Southern Airlines announced yesterday the launch of a new collaborative project “Experience Australia- China Southern Holiday” with a press conference in Guangzhou. The launch was attended by the Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou, Mr Sean Kelly, as well as Mr Zhang Zhenlin, Deputy Director General of the Guangdong Provincial Tourism Administration, Mr Chen Gang, Director General of Commercial Steering Committee of China Southern Airlines, and representative from Tourism Australia and travel industry partners.
“Experience Australia – China Southern Holiday” is a new product featuring airfare and accommodation packages and theme-based tours tailored to traveler’s personal desires. The new packages will be available on China Southern’s existing routes from Guangzhou to Sydney and Melbourne. China Southern has partnered with local travel agencies in Australia to assure travelers a safe, comfortable and high-quality travel experience.
The Australian Consul-General in Guangzhou, Mr Sean Kelly, welcomed this new project. “Tourism is one of the most important elements in the Australia-China relationship and visitors from Southern China continue to be an important part of that flow” he said. “I am delighted to support this new partnership between Tourism Australia and China Southern Airlines which will encourage more Chinese visitors to come to Australia and explore our amazing country” he added.
The Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou will be supporting the new “Experience Australia – China Southern Holiday” travel package by offering streamlined Australian visa processing for Guangdong residents who are China Southern Airlines’ Sky Pearl Club Gold and Silver card holders.
"Guangdong is a mature market with traveler who demand for quality products and a very promising source market for Australia." said Mr Johnny Nee, Regional General Manager of North Asia, Tourism Australia. "In view of the rising purchasing power of Guangdong residents, travelers are seeking for more flexible and personalized travel itinerary. Australia possesses rich travel resources and high-quality travel experiences, we are glad to join hand with China Southern Airline to bring this new product to the travel market" he added.
