Premier of Australia’s Largest State Visits Guangdong 

The Premier of New South Wales, The Hon Morris Iemma MLA will visit Guangdong from 18 November to 20 November 2007 with a delegation totaling around 150 representatives of NSW Government, business, universities and community groups. New South Wales is Guangdong’s sister province, with a relationship dating back 28 years.

11:00 Announcement by the Premier relating to the establishment of a Joint Research Centre on Traditional Chinese Medicines between the University of Sydney and Sun Yat-sen University (Baiyun Hall, Shangri-la Hotel)

11:30 Signing Ceremony for China Union Pay Tourism Promotion Cooperation Agreement (Baiyun Hall, Shangri-la Hotel)

12:40 Speech by Premier of NSW and other dignitaries at an Australian Chamber of Commerce – South China Business Lunch (Pearl River Grand Ballroom, Shangri-la Hotel)

1445 Official Opening by the Premier of the International Wine Stage, 3 Lianhuashan Gangqian Road, Panyu District, Guangzhou

0900 Signing Ceremony for an Education Cooperation MOU between the NSW Vice Chancellor’s Committee and the Guangdong Education Association for International Interchange.
