Australian Expatriate Adoptions of Children from China
The Chinese Centre for Adoptive Affairs (CCAA) recently agreed to re-commence accepting applications for the adoption of children in China from Australian nationals who are resident in the People's Republic of China.
Following this decision, the Australian Embassy in Beijing has provided letters and notarial services for documentation, required by the CCAA as part of the adoption application, to a number of applicants.
As a result of a successful trial in Beijing, the CCAA have now agreed to accept letters and notarial services provided by the Australian Consulate-General in Shanghai and the Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou to Australian citizens wishing to lodge an application for the adoption of a child in China.
