Spring Festival Consulate Closure / NSW State Election 2007
1. Spring Festival/Chinese New Year – Consulate Closure and Travel Advice
This year, the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) holidays will take place from Sunday 18 February to Saturday 24 February 2007. During this time, many Chinese and foreign organisations will be closed.
The Australian Consulate-General in Guangzhou will not close for the entire holiday period but will be closed as follows:
Saturday 18 February - Closed
Sunday 19 February - Closed
Monday 20 February - Closed
Tuesday 21 February – Closed
Wednesday 22 February – Closed
Thursday 23 February – Open - normal business hours
Friday 24 February – Open - normal business hours
Saturday 25 February – Closed
Sunday 26 February – Closed
Monday 27 February – Normal operating hours resume

2. New South Wales State Election 2007
New South Wales electors (registered voters) visiting or residing overseas are advised that a New South Wales State election will be held on Saturday, 24 March 2007.
