Visa regulations

Australians travelling overseas are subject to the visa regulations of the host country. The immigration laws of most countries do not have provision for appeal. The Australian Government and the Australian Consulate-General is unable to intervene in any cases in which an Australian has been refused a visa or denied entry.

Passport validity

Australian travellers should be aware that many countries require travellers to have at least six months validity remaining on their passports. Travellers should either renew their passport before they travel or check with the relevant diplomatic mission of the country concerned whether this rule applies to them.
